And how are you settling in at the new place? Share your joy, tell us everything! Maia: Oh, for the first time in my life, we parted on good terms, like human beings. He was happy for us and gave us his blessing. Look, see how much space the children have, they play football. We have an apple tree, a pear tree, and a tkemali tree growing in our yard. By the way, I’ve already made tkemali preserves. Vako: “I’ll score goals like Kvaratskhelia!” Vako: “Kvara would probably praise me for such a shot, right?” Maia: We are settling in, there are three rooms on the first floor, and three more on the second floor. We’ll set up the kitchen on the first floor, and the bathroom is already there. Upstairs we have a bedroom and a children's room. I have many plans for this house and yard; you’ve inspired me! God willing, everything will go well, and my husband will find steady work,  and I want to start a garden and raise chickens. My husband is a craftsman of soft furniture, and friends have given him the equipment for his work. “Here, Dad is setting up the kitchen on the first floor, it’s not ready yet.” Vako: “This is our bedroom. I sleep like this, on my back, and have a rest.” Vako: “I found a funny program on my new tablet. Look how it changes the face!” Maia: We used to live in the Gardabani district, now we are in Samtredia. The city welcomed us warmly. Our neighbors are wonderful, kind, and responsive. They drop by, ask how they can help, and bring cheese and milk for the children.

Thanks to you, we are starting a new life. Vako will go to the local school, and Saba will go to kindergarten. We have the nicest expectations. And I feel an amazing peace in my soul. That’s what having your own home means!

Vako (6 years old): I have my own land! I have my own apple tree, my own pear tree, my own fig tree, and my own persimmon tree! You haven’t seen the back of the house yet, there’s a forest there, it’s mine too. And I have two chicks, they will grow up and lay eggs! And I have a swing too! Come on, I’ll show you the apple tree! Akaki (2 years old): Hey, that’s not fair! You’ll show everything, huh? But I have a bedroom and a room with toys, I’ll show those, okay? And I’ll show you a pear tree too. Got it?! - Oh, what a pity that we have to do an interview. But it’s okay, I’ll be quick, and we’ll go to see your land! And I’ll take Saba in my arms now. Maya, were you able to get a pension for Saba? Maia: My Saba, my sunny boy, is the happiest! He loves our new home so much. He even forgot about his ailments. “Saba loves the new home. So many people came to our old home! People brought food, clothes, toys, bedding, school supplies… They drove us crazy with joy; the children were floating on air! And now they’re going crazy (laughs), as you can see. I managed to remember three names from the stream of visitors – Dika Salakaia, Tamar Jimshitashvili, Nato Gelashvili. And then my memory failed because remembering dozens of names is very difficult. But here’s what I want to say – I will never forget this miracle you all did for us. The Chernovetskyi Fund is the first to really and strongly help us. My prayers and blessings are for all of you. My wishes for all friends – health, a prosperous, happy life, well-being for every family in Georgia. Vako: “I never had a bike, so I can’t ride! But I must learn properly over the summer.” Akaki: Auntie, are you coming to see our land? Will you go to the river with us? I’ll show you the horses too. - You have a river here too? Super!
