“Children don’t play with me because I don’t have toys.” Six-year-old Saba dreams of a bicycle and a remote-controlled car. His eyes are full of tears.

This is Saba, he is 6 years old. His eyes are full of tears. The boy is growing up in poverty. Saba shares stale bread equally with his five brothers and sisters. The boy has many wishes, but he doesn’t ask his mother to buy anything because he knows that she struggles to even buy porridge for his one-year-old sister. Six-year-old Saba’s little hands are covered in calluses from work. He sweeps, hoes, and waters the seedlings. And when he gets tired from work, when he wants to play, he doesn’t have a single toy. Before going to bed, the poor child dreams of his favorite toys, and maybe his dream comes true at least in his sleep.

“I want a bicycle. I would ride it a lot and give rides to other kids, even though they don’t play with me,” Saba said to me (the correspondent) and sighed as if his little heart had burst from his chest.

- Why don’t they play with you, Saba? What do they say to you?

Saba: “You don’t have toys”.

- Saba, why do you think your mom can’t buy you toys?

Saba: Because she doesn’t have money.

Saba: I also dream of jeans and T-shirts. Boys my age wear sports shirts and new sneakers. I have nothing but old slippers. I don’t have any other clothes except what I am wearing now. Before bed, I dream of many things. I imagine that I have everything, and at that moment I am so happy. Alas, I am a child from a poor family and only dream about toys. My heart aches... but what can I do...
