Today, our touching report comes from Mtskheta, just 30 km from Tbilisi, from the village of Saguramo. And the story will be told by the eldest of the four hungry children in the family - Dachi! He is 11 years old. He is the head of the family of six.

Today, our touching report comes from Mtskheta, just 30 km from Tbilisi, from the village of Saguramo. And the story will be told by the eldest of the four hungry children in the family - Dachi! He is 11 years old. He is the head of the family of six.

Dachi (11-year-old): I have three younger sisters. We haven't eaten anything for two days. Our stomachs hurt from hunger. Yesterday, my sister fainted from hunger Today, we only had one loaf of bread at home. I shared it between my sisters. They were hungrier than I was.

These are my sisters! They can't live without me for a single day!

Dachi (11-year-old): One of my sisters, Anastasia, is mentally challenged, and my mom doesn't have money to treat her. The mother can't leave the little children alone, so she doesn't work! My father is a very good man, but he is incurably ill and cannot work!

"Auntie, my stomach hurts from hunger," — But today Dachi brought us bread! Dachi's sister Nini (5 years old)

One of my sisters, Anastasia (7 years old), is mentally challenged! She thinks her doll has cancer and that's why its hair is falling out! Anastasia never had another doll!

Dachi: My mother cannot work because she's not allowed to leave us unsupervised! She loves us very, very much, but she has no money to treat my sister and my father, who is also very ill!

Sometimes I also want to feel like a child. Mom is so kind and warm! I snuggle up to her for a little while, and then I run back to work!

And this is my sister Barbare, she's 6 years old! She finds leftover pasta all over the apartment and cooks it for the whole family...

I find clothes that people no longer need, and sometimes I pick out pants and dresses for my sisters

I only have this one dress. It’s old and torn. But I dream of being a princess. But princesses don’t wear torn dresses. How I wish I could have a new, beautiful, fluffy dress

Dachi: I only have the clothes I'm wearing. All winter long, I went to school in the freezing cold without a jacket. Some children still laugh at me because of my old clothes. I don't get angry when they laugh at me, but when they laugh at my sisters, my heart breaks with rage. Parents, teach your children that poverty and illness are not reasons for mockery.

"We are hungry. We can only hope for the kindness of others."

Dachi: Hunger, cold, and illness are constant companions of our family. I promised myself that when I grow up, I will work hard and make my mother and sisters happy.

"My mother... She is so kind and faithful to God, and she believes in my promise that I will soon make her the happiest person in all of Georgia!"
