Iamze: I am almost inanimate. I have spent my whole life being insulted and humiliated. I have suffered so much... Now I am all alone with my children in front of you! Neither I nor my children are needed by anyone in Georgia! How is that possible? Look at them. Aren’t they full-fledged citizens of Georgia?! Doesn't the country need them? Why are they being treated like this?

- Why didn't you leave him?
Iamze: Where would I go from my own home? This house, if it can be called that, was left to me by my stepmother. And now I understand that he lived with me to kill me and keep the place for himself! Sending the children to the orphanage! How could he do this to my angels?!
- My hair stands on end! How does the world tolerate such people? And how can this place be called home?
Iamze: You haven't seen it in winter yet. Wind blows through the windows, through the doors, all my pension went to utilities, so the children were hungry. Only one portion from the canteen was our food or a plate of lunch that neighbors sometimes gave us... That's how we survived the winter.

- How long has your husband been in prison?
Iamze: This is the second time already. Before, he was in for theft. I thought he'd get out, calm down, come to his senses... But no, he started drinking and became a sick sadist! Recently he was sentenced, I don't even know how many years they gave him.
- How do you survive, Iamze, what does your allowance cover?
Iamze: I'm disabled, second group, and I receive a pension. Sometimes I also clean cemeteries. I take good care of the children, I'm a good mother. I've suffered so much from lack of love that I want to give all my love, all my warmth to my children... I try to make sure they don't suffer, but with our income and these conditions, it's impossible.

Mari (7-year-old): I don't even have dolls - my mom can't buy any.
Lazare (6-year-old): I don't have anything either... just pasta!
- What's your favorite food, Lazare?
Lazare: I don't know. Other than pasta, I don't think I've ever tasted anything. You know, I want to watch cartoons so much....
Mari: One doll will be enough for me. Mom, can I ask for a bicycle?
- Ask for everything you dream of, Mari. All of Georgia is your country - it loves you! You're so good!
Lazare: Can we have lots and lots of sugar at home? So it never runs out, and we can drink sweet tea? Sometimes I sprinkle sugar on my tongue and it's like I'm eating something tasty. And our house is scary.
- Yes, it’s really scary. The door doesn't lock, there are gaps in the windows, mold...
Iamze: And the sink has no pipe, and there's no water... And do you think it would be safer for us outside? I have kind neighbors here. When the social allowance runs out and we don't even have money to buy bread, they feed my children. Sometimes they even give us their clothes. If we had a TV, it would brighten up these gray days for the children. At least they could watch something beautiful.

- Iamze, what would make your life a little bit easier?
Iamze: I don't know. Look: I can't clean the house. No matter what I do, it's still dirty. I'd love to change the windows and get proper front doors. I'd buy beds for the kids and shoes, refrigerator and groceries.
- Have you ever had a nice life? Is there any memory that brings you joy?
Iamze: I can't recall... I don't even have any childhood photos. No one ever took me for walks in the park. I never received any gifts. And I never had any toys...

- Iamze, is there anything you'd like to say to our readers?
Iamze: Yes, of course! The only thing I want to ask everyone is: please, don't abandon your children! Children should be with their parents! Neither aunts, uncles, nor other relatives can give what a mother can give. I might not be the best mother, I can't spoil my children like others do, but I love them. I will never leave them. No matter how difficult it gets for me, I won't abandon them. Do you hear me? Never abandon them. If you can help, help my children so they don't feel like strangers in their own country! But personally, I don't need anything and it's shameful to ask! I'm not asking for myself! And if I'm no longer here someday - remember my children!

- From now on, you're not alone! Consider that you'll have many friends!
Iamze: I hope to God! Honestly, I don't believe in anything good. Sometimes it seems to me that some people are born to suffer, that they don't deserve happiness. I don't have it... But my children must be happy!
God won't abandon you, kind people. Do good, and you'll be close to Him.

This is where we end our story. It is simply impossible to convey in words all the pain and horror. You can't show it in pictures. You can visit the family yourself. Their address is: Kaspi, 66 King Mirian Street, apartment 8. But be warned: the faint-hearted should not go there!
Iamze and her children do not need just help and support ... They need to be saved! They are dying a slow and certain death. Beds, bedding, windows, a door, a refrigerator, and a TV set - that's what they need now. And it will be great if we make the children happy with toys and goodies!
Every time you can help someone, just do it, and rejoice that God answers someone's prayers through you!
We are sure that all together we will manage to save this family from imminent death.
