“You know how bad it is when hunger grips your stomach! We're always hungry, and we live very poorly. And Mom doesn't have the money to buy us even one candy to share. We only buy bread. Bread for lunch, bread before bed...soon we'll start looking like loaves ourselves," little Andria giggles, not realizing there's nothing funny about his words. And he wonders why Mom starts crying at such a funny joke...but what else can a desperate mother do when she can't feed her children? When they ask God to turn a piece of bread into something tasty?
